Perhaps no other WWE Diva has made a faster or bigger impact than Gail Kim. On June 30, 2003, the Korean sensation showed
up on RAW and captured the Women’s Championship on her first night, defeating six other Divas in an over-the-top-rope
battle royal.
Due to her high-flying abilities in the ring, Gail drew many comparisons to fellow daredevil Diva, Lita. But just as fast
as she climbed to the top of the Women’s Division, Kim came crashing down. Just one month after her surprise debut,
Kim lost the title to Molly Holly, and then in late November, bad went to worse, when she suffered a serious injury. During
a match against Trish Stratus, Kim slipped off of the top rope, and broke her collarbone.
For five months, Kim rehabbed and trained. In early April 2004, she returned to the ring in the same type of match she
debuted in –an over-the-top-rope battle royal. Although, she was unable to attain the victory, Kim was glad to be back
in the ring.
Now that she’s 100 percent, the question remains as to whether Gail will be able to pick up where she left off. But
in order for her to prove that she isn’t just a one-hit wonder, Gail will need to repeat history, and once again capture
the WWE Women’s Championship. (excerpt from WWE.com)
My Prediction: If Gail Kim can get her implants in order (they leaked) and substain from injuries she might be the top
diva on Raw before the years up.
